Kamen Joshi's Suzumura Seri evolves greatly at her birthday celebration! A storm of emotion with her soulful solo stage performance

On March 3th, a birthday celebration for Suzumura Seri, member of the masked dancing idol group Kamen Joshi, was held at Akihabara PARMS.

In addition to her idol activities as a member of Kamen Joshi, Suzumura Seri is also expanding her range of activities into acting, including appearing on stage as an actor.

The concert that day started with Kamen Joshi's rock-style song "SUPER☆SOUL," followed by a non-stop, energetic and intense dance performance that captivated the fans.

To celebrate her birthday, the one-night-only live performance saw Maoseri, comprised of Suzumura Seri and Morishita Maioka, cover "Baka Majime" by Creepy Nuts, Ayase, and Ikuta Rira.

Then, Seri Suzumura performed Yuri's "+1" solo! Fans were moved by Seri Suzumura's challenging attitude and her refusal to give up in order to make her dreams come true.

The second half of the show also began with the legendary song "Zenkai Brother" and ended with "Bakuon☆Weey," making it a "Suzumura Seri Birthday Celebration" where the seven Kamen Joshi members were overwhelmed by their intense performance.

Suzumura Seri said, "We have a history up until now, and it's all built up, and thanks to the hard work of our seniors, Kamen Joshi exists, but I wanted to show that the current seven of us are the strongest, so I chose this setlist. Before the birthday celebration started, singing alone or with two other people was my first challenge, and I wanted to improve my skills, so I took on the challenge as a way to push myself. I was really nervous, but once it started it was over in an instant and it was so much fun. It was a really fun, fun birthday celebration. "SUPER☆ "I love "SOUL" so much that I could say it's my favorite Kamen Joshi song, and it's a rock song that's very Kamen Joshi-like, so I knew I wanted to put it first, and "Tenchi-AMATSUCHI-" is a pretty old song but I really like it too, and it's such a favorite song that I always put it on the set list for our birthday celebrations every year, and of course, the last song, "Bakuon☆Weey," is a song that was sung after the new seven-member lineup was formed, and I wanted the world to get to know and see more of the seven of us, so I included a lot of songs from after the new lineup," she said excitedly.

When asked about taking on the challenge of performing the song solo, she reflected, "I wanted to improve my skills, and since I'll be performing in front of a lot of people, I wanted to push myself harder, so I included it. I really like the lyrics of this song, and it's the song that's hit me the most recently, so I wanted to do it."

As for her future goals, she commented, "Personally, I like 2.5-D, and since I don't have much experience in acting, I'd like to do a lot of work and gain more experience. Also, as a group we have a tour of Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka coming up (from early summer to summer), so I want to make it a great success and move on to the next stage."

Suzumura Seri expressed her gratitude to the fans who came, saying, "Thank you so much for coming to my birthday celebration. I was so happy that people from all over came despite the bad ground, the cold, and everyone having their own plans. I felt everyone's love in everything from the beautiful banners, bouquets of flowers, and cake. It takes a lot of effort to come to the venue, it takes time and a lot of courage, so I am truly grateful that people made the effort to come and see me. I hope to continue to show my gratitude to you on stage and in other ways so that I can give back to you. Thank you so much, as always."

Furthermore, Seri Suzumura is scheduled to appear in the "Hypnosis Mic -Division Rap Battle-" Rule the Stage, which will be held at Shinagawa Prince Hotel Club eX from September 9th (Thurs) to September 4rd (Tues, national holiday), so keep an eye out for her work as an actor.
