Debuted in 1998. A national singer with numerous hit songs. Active in social contribution activities, she has served as an ambassador for international conferences (COP10 Honorary Ambassador, TICAD V, TICAD 7 Honorary Ambassador). She sang the national anthem at the opening ceremony of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
In 2023, she will celebrate her 25th debut anniversary and release a best album. It has also been announced that her long-awaited 15th original album, MISIA 15th Album "LOVE NEVER DIES", will be released in 2025.
