The official live report from the "BE:FIRST DOME TOUR 2024-2025 "2:BE"" Tokyo Dome and Kyocera Dome Osaka performances has arrived!

This report covers BE:FIRST DOME TOUR 2024-2025 "2:BE", Japan's leading seven-member dance and vocal group, who have appeared on the "NHK Kouhaku Uta Gassen" and "Sparkling! Japan Record Awards" for three consecutive years.

January 9th, the second day of the two-day Tokyo Dome concert. On the giant LED vision, the seven members SOTA, SHUNTO, MANATO, RYUHEI, JUNON, RYOKI, and LEO were shown waking up one after another in space suits inside a spaceship. The motif of the artwork for BE:FIRST's second album "2:BE", released in August 2, is "space", but the concept of the dome tour is also "space". On the huge stage, there was a 2024-meter-wide spaceship, and the middle gradually opened, and the seven members appeared wearing silver setups that imitated space suits. SOTA's powerful rap reverberated in the dome, and the live started with "Slogan", which opens "8:BE". SOTA spit out lyrics that fit perfectly with this situation, "A movement at the edge of Asia, a spaceship that carries each country, scream ooo-out at the center of the galaxy". The microphones were connected one after another, and LEO made a provocative fake by raising his finger up.

The seven members slowly walked to the front of the stage, and then moved on to "Masterplan" as per the song order of "7:BE". The dance, which was highly synchronized but overflowed with the individuality and determination of the seven members, captured the eyes of 2 people. After the first verse, SOTA shouted, "Sorry to keep you waiting, Tokyo!" It was a magnificent performance that was not inferior to the size of the dome venue. As cherry blossom storms fluttered on the screen, they overwhelmed the audience with their innovative sound that combined drill and Japanese music, and their realistic performance.

RYUHEI's beautiful song led to "SOS". RYOKI agitated with "What's up! Tokyo Dome!". Sparks rose from the stage and the band played "Scream". RYOKI's roar drew cheers. After a powerful dance break, MANATO declared, "Tokyo Dome! We're back!". On behalf of the group, he expressed his gratitude for being able to reach the Dome Tour because of the steps they had taken up until now. He then called out, "First up at Tokyo Dome, let us hear your voices!" and moved on to "Set Sail". As the lyrics were projected on the screen, RYOKI shouted, "Let's play!", inviting 5 people on a grand voyage. A call-and-response of "BF!" and "Set Sail!" raged, and SOTA said with satisfaction, "We're doing great!"

RYUHEI said, "Thank you so much to everyone who made time to come and see us! The concert is going ahead, but is it okay? Are you enjoying it?" and a huge cheer rang out. "We will definitely send you home happy! Can you sing along to this song?" he said, and the intro to "Don't Wake Me Up" started playing. The seven members split into two teams and rode around the perimeter of the arena area on a float with "7:BE" written on it, increasing the sense of euphoria with their relaxed singing and bouncy sound.

RYOKI's command "I wanna be!" triggered a course and response, leading to "Be Free". LEO

"Happy New Year! Let's do it again this year!" they said, and started singing the phrase "When we meet, we joke and lean our shoulders together" from "Moment". As the songs are connected like a medley, the members' will to deliver as many songs as possible is apparent. JUNON happily pats MANATO on the shoulder as he sings "That's fine". Even though it's the Tokyo Dome, BE:FIRST still plays with music freely and happily. SOTA asked, "2025 has begun! I'm happy to be able to spend it with you guys! You can sing this song, right?" Expressing their trust in BESTY (the name for BE:FIRST fans) who love BE:FIRST's music, they performed their pre-debut song "Shining One". After the first verse, SOTA smiled and said, "It looks like fun!" RYOKI shouted, "Sing!" and the chorus of 5 people resounded.

The seven people disappeared from the stage. The vision showed seven people who had just arrived on Earth from another planet. They were invited to entertain the most important minister on Earth, but since only two people could participate, MANATO and RYOKI participated. As the two enjoyed food at a traditional Japanese restaurant, a square container was presented to them, and when they opened it, it contained pizza. The two danced with gorgeous dancers holding fans and enjoyed shisha. While they were distracted, the key to the spaceship was stolen. Speaking of pizza and shisha, there is the unit song "Selfish" by MANATO and RYOKI, which is included in "7:BE". As the intro that sounds like a human being devoured resonates, the two sat on a sofa placed on the stage and performed a mischievous performance that was perfect for the title "Selfish". At the end, they jumped over the sofa with a splendid look and left.

Dark electro music reverberated in the dome where the noise never faded. It was "Genesis," a unit song by SOTA, JUNON, and LEO. A crane extended from the center area of ​​the arena, and the three members stood at the end of it, performing their own evolved singing/raps from above the dome. The three were wearing cyclops sunglasses. Flashy lasers flew around, and the performance with countless stars projected on the ceiling further enhanced the cosmic feel of the song.

A rich orchestra could be heard, and SHUNTO and RYUHEI appeared on the sub-stage at the back of the arena area. Their dance and singing, which looked like contemporary dance and performance art, captivated 50,000 people with their beautiful every move. As they performed their multi-layered song, the two of them rode a trolley across the arena area and landed on the center stage. Once again, they performed a dance that was like a work of art.

The Earth appears on the screen, getting closer and closer. The seven of them stand on the center stage. The stage moves from space to Tokyo. The line "Zoom Zoom Zoom directly below Tokyo" from "Mainstream" roars out, leaving no room for argument. "Milli-Billi" begins seamlessly with SHUNTO's exquisite sigh. The audience all exclaim in admiration at the polished performance. The voices grow louder with the sexy dance break that precedes the following song, "Guilty."

A video of the seven members in space suits attending a press conference was shown on the screen. It started with a request from the gathered reporters to "draw a picture of an alien living on your planet," and gradually took on the appearance of a comedy show. The seven members' unique imagination and friendship transformed the dome into a peaceful mood. The last question was, "If we don't find the key to the spaceship, what will happen to the world?" The members performed powerful songs and raps on the center stage, runway, sub-stage... all over the vast dome. In the silence, MANATO raised his right hand bravely and began to sing "Show's just getting started, coming up" with all his might. "BF is...". The next song was "Brave Generation" and the audience clapped their hands. SOTA said, "This is awesome! Let's shake our bodies!" and the band arranged "Boom Boom Back" to make it even funkier. Seeing the sight of 7 people shaking their bodies, SOTA shouted, "This is awesome, BESTY!" The whole venue was in a frenzy with the new New Jack Swing dance break.

The seven members were seen on the screen chatting while looking at old photos of themselves. JUNON went downstairs by himself and turned the photo stand over. JUNON's flowing singing echoed through the dome, and applause rose up at the beauty of the song. It was "Smile Again - From THE FIRST TAKE". Each of the seven members climbed onto a crane and sang their beautiful song from 7 meters above the ground. The next song was "Sapphire", which took the sadness to the max, and the seven members performed "Grow Up" with passion still embodied. They took light steps on the center stage, capturing the attention of 7 people.

The voice of Monkey D. Luffy, the main character of "ONE PIECE", rang out. "Wow, that sounds like fun! He's the man who will become the Pirate King! He says he's BESTY, right? I'm BESTY too. They said you guys are important friends! Pirates sing together with their friends too. Are you ready? All right! Guys! Let's set sail!" Luffy's call led to "Sailing", the ending theme song for the TV anime "SPECIAL EDITED VERSION "ONE PIECE" Fishman Island Arc". This song is about the love of "ONE PIECE" by SOTA, SHUNTO and RYUHEI and the future of BE:FIRST. "Let's make any storm a tailwind" and "We'll sing our dreams today and tomorrow". Even if we encounter storms and rough waves, these seven people will surely be able to navigate the ocean. Such a sense of omnipotence is carried by the bright and heroic sound and melody. When the song ended, the members all cried out in excitement, "Luffy!!" "You're kidding me?" and "This is awesome!" Most of the members had not been informed that a new recording by Mayumi Tanaka, the voice actress for Luffy, would be played, so it was a surprise from SKY-HI. LEO announced that the MC time would begin, and SHUNTO shouted, "My precious friends, sit down!", and RYUHEI revealed happily, "Do you all like 'One Piece'? We've always wanted to hear this too!"

What would make us happiest is for everyone to become strong BESTYs who love themselves and are able to be kind to those around them. The deep sound of the piano resounded. It was "Glorious." After RYUHEI sang "Let's call today a miracle," LEO spoke with a deep emotion. "Exactly 10 years ago, when I was about 15 or 16 years old, I came to see our live performance at Tokyo Dome for the first time and decided that I would definitely stand on that stage. For about six years from then until joining BE:FIRST, I had more days when I cried than days when I smiled. I was hurt in many ways and I hurt others in many ways. Although my emotions show on my face easily, there was a time when I couldn't show any emotions at all and I had a difficult time. But since becoming a member of BE:FIRST, when I look back on my days, there really hasn't been a day when I cried! That's how happy I am. It's all because of the six members, Hidaka (Mitsuhiro), the BMSG staff, everyone else who was involved, and you, BESTY! My life was saved by BE:FIRST! This song was written on those days when I was crying. It's a song I wrote in the hope that it would reach you, who is alive today! We may not be the kind of people that anyone would look up to. We may be clumsy and uncool. But as long as you're there, I'll hold this microphone as if I'm dying, sing, and perform until my body is worn out! Please continue to support BE:FIRST! Thank you very much for today!' As if overlapping with LEO's thoughts, SOTA said, 'The ground dirty with sweat and tears, the days we kicked towards the smiling sun high in the sky, the muddy dress we wore after failure and defeat is very beautiful, it's not just about the results, let's light the spark of mutual improvement now'. Next, RYOKI rapped, 'There are not many days to laugh, but no one can laugh at you like this, right? As the intro to "Great Mistakes" played, LEO asked the audience, "Once again, thank you so much for today! Were you happy?" SOTA was the first to answer, "I was happy!" JUNON said, "Are you enjoying today enough to give it your all this year? If not, let's go all out at the end!", and LEO said, "Come on, let's dance," and they went to "Bye-Good-Bye - From THE FIRST TAKE." The seven members were happily playing around with the members and the sound on the float. Each of them expressed their gratitude and joy, and SOTA shouted, "I'll prepare another great song and do my best until the next time we meet, so let's definitely meet again!". SOTA said, "This is the climax of the best day. We can't go home without singing this song together!", and then announced that filming was OK for the song "Blissful," which they were going to sing together. "Leave the vibes and passion in your hands, and keep it with you so that you can always come back to this live performance!" SOTA said, and then "Blissful" was sung, full of happiness. The seven members and 7 people sang the song with a heartfelt joy, and colorful tapes flew up. After the seven members left the stage promising to meet again, today's set list was played on the screen along with the live footage of each member. The stage returned to the restaurant where MANATO and RYOKI were having fun. The ministers of state laughed loudly after getting the key to the spaceship. However, the key to the spaceship was in RYUHEI's pocket as if it were a supernatural power. The footage that was played today was rewound, and it was announced that the new song "Spacecraft" would be performed as the 7th song. A deep and spacey intro. The seven members skillfully sang and rapped over a track characterized by many gaps and a heavy beat. The lyrics were written by SKY-HI and SHUNTO. The choreographer was SOTA. The song and choreography embodied the concept of the dome tour, "space," and shook the venue, showing a new BE:FIRST. They then sang "Slogan," the first song, again. They were full of energy, different from about three hours ago, as if they were going to give it their all. A pillar of fire rose from the stage, adding to the heat. The seven returned to the spaceship, and when the door closed, the sound of firecrackers roared. It was a spectacular sight.

About a month later, on February 1nd, the final performance of their first dome tour took place at Kyocera Dome Osaka. From the trembling, pulsating energy that only the final show can offer, to the moments when they happily frolic with the music with smiles in full bloom, everything created the best mood.

After the seven members performed their beautiful voices on a crane in "Smile Again - From THE FIRST TAKE," they performed "Dare Yorimo," the theme song for the movie "Dare Yorimo Tsuyoku Dakishimete," in which RYOKI plays the lead actor Miyama Ryouki. It is BE:FIRST's first ballad without rap, with RYOKI writing the lyrics together with SKY-HI. Each member puts the heartfelt feelings that RYOKI has spun into the song, and they come together as one. As the song ended, RYOKI was shown on the screen with a happy look on his face.

After finishing their Dome Tour, BE:FIRST will start their first world tour "BE:FIRST World Tour 2025 -Who is BE:FIRST?-" in April. JUNON said, "We will continue to send out information about us during the world tour, so we hope you will check it out," and then announced, "My feelings for BESTY, who I love so much, will not change no matter where I am, so I thought about what I could do and decided. We will hold a fan meeting tour starting in 2025!" Many cheers of joy were heard.

LEO said, "Every day we write songs thinking about BESTY. The next song we sing is a song we wrote hoping that whatever your day is today will connect to tomorrow. We send this song to your future," and then they sang "Glorious." SHUNTO started speaking in the middle of the song. "I'm happy to be able to hold the final show at Kyocera Dome Osaka. I have a lot of relatives in Osaka, and it was in Osaka that I got second place in a karaoke contest (laughs). From then on, I started to seriously pursue my dreams little by little, and Osaka was the starting point. I was reminiscing about that time at the hotel yesterday. JUNON mentioned the world tour just now, and dreams and goals keep coming up. I think BESTY also has dreams and goals, no matter how small they may be. We are able to stand at the dome like this because of you, BESTY, so our dreams and goals are not something we hold alone. When you are in pain, when you are sad, when you want to forget everything, BE:FIRST's music will always be by your side. No matter how small your dreams and goals are, let's walk together, believing in ourselves, even if people around us say we're not cool! Thank you so much for today!" He took a deep breath and shouted, "I love you, BESTY!!" SOTA, RYOKI, MANATO...all seven members connected their feelings through singing and rapping.

Their first dome tour included nine performances in four cities, attracting approximately 4 people. Their first world tour will begin in April, visiting 9 cities in Asia, Europe, and North America.
