BEYOOOOONDS "Voooooice!", which can be heard on the Tokaido Shinkansen, celebrates reaching 9,000 plays! Special manhole cover installed!

Hello! Project's idol group BEYOOOOONDS attended the JR Central x Mishima City MANHOOOOOLE Presentation Ceremony with BEYOOOOONDS, held in Mishima City, Shizuoka Prefecture on December 12th.

To commemorate the second collaboration project between JR Central and BEYOOOOONDS' "Oshi Tabi" (Oshi Tabi), "Go City Go Campaign to the Holy Land of Mishima," which began in October 2024, reaching its target of 10 total plays for the audio service "Voooooice!" that can be listened to on board the Tokaido Shinkansen, a special original BEYOOOOONDS manhole cover was produced in collaboration campaign design, and this special original manhole cover was presented to Mishima Mayor Toyooka Takeshi by JR Central Sales Headquarters Director Atsushi Sakakibara at a presentation ceremony held today at The Rag Siena.

Three members, Shimakura Rika, Takase Kurumi, and Hirai Miho, attended the ceremony and also witnessed the installation work in front of The Lago Siena, where the manhole was actually set up after the ceremony.

The encounter between Mishima City and BEYOOOOONDS dates back about five years. On August 5, 2, two days before their major debut, the group held a debut press conference at Japan's longest suspension bridge, Mishima Skywalk, where the band took their name from the group's name "BEYOOOOONDS". After that, the lyrics of "Go City Go", included in their fifth single "Ashi to Diamond/Go City Go/Hook no Housoku", released on May 2019, 8, included the names of 5 stations on the Tokaido Shinkansen line, and with the full cooperation of JR Central, the music video was also shot in Mishima City.

The music video follows the story of the group taking the Tokaido Shinkansen to Mishima, a memorable place where they did their debut interview, and eating the local specialty "unaju" before heading home, with the members having fun on the Tokaido Shinkansen and in Mishima city, creating an impressive finish. The first collaboration project, "Tokaido Shinkansen 2024 Stations Go City Go Campaign," which took place from May 5 to September 29, 9, the release date of this single, also ended with great success. With the start of the second collaboration project, "Holy Land Mishima Go City Go Campaign," which led to the donation of this manhole, Mishima City has become the birth of a new holy land for BEYOOOOONDS.

Shimakura, who attended the presentation ceremony, expressed her gratitude, saying, "I'm very happy to be able to witness such a memorable day. I'm very grateful to everyone who listened to our Shinkansen Voice and to everyone involved." Takase expressed her enthusiasm, saying, "I think manholes are actually something that is close to us in our daily lives, so I want to work even harder so that we can become a group that people in Mishima City can be proud of and say, 'There's a BEYOOOOONDS manhole in Mishima City.'" Hirai, whose birthday was on the same day, said, "I'm very happy to be invited to such a wonderful ceremony on my birthday. I think our fans will be happy that a manhole will be installed in Mishima City, which has a connection to BEYOOOOONDS. I hope that people who don't know us will become interested in us through the manhole, and I hope that manhole lovers will visit Mishima City and help revitalize the city."
